1. Science Circle
Take turns sharing a question, prediction or observation.
2. Nature Story
Recount a gardening, park or animal-observation experience.
3. First Nations Communication
Explore respectful examples of how knowledge about plants and animals is shared.
4. Show How It Moves
Demonstrate push, pull, roll, slide, spin or bounce and answer questions.
5. Tool Role-Play
Show how a magnifier, ruler, thermometer or timer is used.
6. Build a Model
Create a plant or animal model using blocks, clay, paper or craft materials.
7. Science Display
Share observations through a poster, collage, storyboard or digital presentation.

Simple Assessment Ideas
- Observe students during practical activities and discussions.
- Ask students to draw, match, sort, point, demonstrate or explain.
- Use a short exit task linked to the curriculum code.
- Allow an adult to record a child's spoken response when needed.
- Look for correct use of simple science vocabulary.
Supporting Different Learners
Additional support
- Use real objects, photographs and simple picture cards.
- Model one step at a time.
- Provide sentence starters and two-choice questions.
