Unit focus
- Choose the attribute, instrument and unit: length, mass, capacity, duration or temperature. Read the unit on a digital display as well as the digits.
- On a scale, find two labelled values and count the equal intervals between them. Divide their difference by the number of intervals to find each step.
- Read whole and part units carefully. Estimate between marks only as precisely as the instrument allows, and explain how you checked the measurement.
