Responding to Literary Structure and Language (AC9E4LE02)
describe the effects of text structures and language features in literary texts when responding to and sharing opinions
Choose a learning activity. Practice and Test use short shuffled attempts. Repeat quiz practice to access more of the full question bank.
Before you begin
Read each supplied story extract or poem. Notice a particular structure or language choice, explain its effect and use evidence to support an opinion. Useful terms include noun group, repetition, simile, metaphor, personification, exaggeration, flashback, tension and resolution.
The full banks include eight Practice tasks and four Test tasks that ask you to write or dictate and share a real response. An adult checks those responses separately from the multiple-choice score. Different opinions can be valid when the text supports them.
