  1. Split 4 into 1 and 3: 9 + 1 + 3 = 13.
  2. 14 - 4 = 10; two more must be removed, so 10 - 2 = 8.
  3. 6 + 6 = 12. Seven is one more than six, so the total is 13.
  4. 7 + 8 = 15, or 8 + 7 = 15.

If help is needed: Do not use the whole five again after making ten. The two used and the three left must still total five.
